Your SSN is not Secure

When someone asks you for your SSN, think twice. Since so many places consider it a security measure, there are more places and more ways to have a breach.
Don't use your SSN if you don't have to!

Actually, you don't EVER have to use your SSN as a security or an identifier. If someone asks for it, I always refuse and say that I would like to use something or some other things as identifiers because that's my right and I don't believe in giving out my SSN as that's not secure. It's easy to perform identity theft that way. Usually, after giving that speech, I don't have too much resistance from the other end or have to ask for a higher authority.
