The human brain does have a limit.

So 200 years ago, a standard education took anywhere from 5 to 10 years. Now a standard education can take up to 14 years. So, naturally, as our technology and understanding of life increases, the amount of time needed even for a standard education will grow and grow until one's entire life is spent learning.

I posed this question a few years back an Telluride Tech Fest worded a different way. Taking your logic to the end, I asked, "Is the amount of knowledge mankind can accumulate finite?" If your entire life is spent learning the basic knowledge needed to do meaningful work, nothing new is discovered. Of course, there are lots of answers such as improved learning methods, specialization and such. But it definitely induces a lively discussion!
