After the now infamous 'secret' energy talks where in 2003 Dick Cheney invited a few of his oil industry pals into secret meetings to determine the nation's energy policy, the result was (surprise!) his cronies replacing life long bureaucrats in key positions in energy committees. Since then, they have been sleeping with the oil companies, allowing them to skip inspections, etc and now what do we get? A catastrophe. I know republicans didn't cause the oil spill in the gulf, but their corrupt, self-serving 'profits above all else' attitude did. Nice going republicans! You've destroyed a major industry and part of our coastline for many years to come all over greed and profits. I hope you're proud of your leaders.
