That link is ridiculous... Even if it is 42,000 gallons a day, that's 1.2x10^-14% of the earth's saltwater oceans, or, to put it in better perspective, 8 x 10^-12 % of the Gulf of Mexico. I think it's been 45 days since the spill started... So it has occupied 3.6 x 10^-10% of the gulf... That's .36 billionths of a percent... At that rate, the oil would fill half the gulf in the year 171117684.

I have looked for a while now trying to find a clip where Rush said this and have not found it yet. I have no doubt that he did but I would like to see the clip. Does anyone know where it mite be?

Well I have looked to find where old Rush made this comment and have found nothing. Now this does not mean he did not say it. I wanted to see in what context he was saying this. I believe that he was just trying to let the public know that nature has a way of taking care of the problem over time. How much time? I don’t know. I don’t believe he was trying to down play the massiveness of the problem.
There was a women on the Bill O’Reilly show talking about the dispersant that BP was using in that they ( EPA ) were concern that it would reduce the oxygen level in the water to the point that it would kill the bacteria need to eat the oil which would in time clear up the problem.
Did not get her name. I was out on a service call and she was on when I walked in to the office and heard what she was saying. I do know that she is part of the Obama administration. If this is what old Rush was referring to then the people in the Obama administration are just as big of an idiot as Rush.
