Hmmm, politics, maybe it's just a difference of facts...

Well, I've taken a LONG break from floort and now I'm back and missed a lot! Hello everyone.

Onwards, I was thinking about something about republicans and Democrats; why do we conflict? My belief is simple, it's just how we comprehend things. Like, republicans think everything should be deregulated and untaxed and basically, dismantling the original purpose of government that Jefferson and Washington set out on some 200 years ago. Any republicans out there can debate this.

Democrats on the other hand, we look at the bigger picture. We understand the workings of our government. We want to create legislation that helps people. I don't get how some bills just end up being slandered as socialism when there's already socialistic types of programs the were thought of by Democrats and actually is a rail of republican politics.

Oh, and also, all republicans and Democrats here, put down what your ideals are and our party's ideals. Let's compare.

My ideals are: acceptance of other peoples, understanding, future progressing, helping others in need, and to get religious here; living how Jesus lived.

That reminds me! republicans are real religious, but do they follow the Words of God and the Life of Christ?

Please don't get in a car and drive anywhere Brian unless you can pay personally to have the road built. This crazy right-wing lunacy about taxes causing a welfare state are getting a little stale. If you want to be anti-tax, go ahead, but remember that the reason we are in this pathetic mess right now as YOUR Republican government spending OUR tax money mindlessly without a single plan to pay for it. If you want no education except what you can afford, no defense, and no infrastructure, then fine, be against taxes. There are groups like like this. They're called tribes and they exist far from civilized world. But modern society groups together to share the burden of a better life for all citizens. That takes taxation and responsibility. I guess Republicans are so against taxes because they've seen how their representatives pilfer and destroy with their tax dollars. Democrats don't do that. Bill Clinton left office with budget surplus. George Bush left office with the biggest deficit in history. And all in only 8 years. Amazing how well those conservative principles work huh?

I have already stated that I don't mind paying taxes for infrastructure, defence, some education. I don'T want to be taxed 70% to pay for the ever growing social programs. Tigg. You have to understand that the purpose of our system is to establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, and promote the general Welfare.

A necessary evil Brian. Your messiah left us in a mess. And we aren't in that debt yet. That is what you right wingers keep predicting. The Obama plan has a method of payback. It takes a while, yes, but your guy drove us into the biggest deficit in history with NO PLAN to ever pay it back. If Republican financial methods weren't so bad, we'd still have the budget surplus that you guys were left with and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
