If the States want to tax you and buy school lunches, let them vote on it and if it passes, do it. Check the US Constitution.... can't do it on a federal level.

Where does it say Michelle Obama wants to spend federal dollars? Like Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush did for education and kids's programs. You're just sounding like a screaming hypocrite.

But A, we ALREADY provide school lunches, playgrounds and nurses at school. How is she doing anything different other than improving an existing process. You make it sound like the is trying to take over the country with socialism. We understand that you are living in fear and hatred of your government. But this is kinda of a stretch. If my tax dollars are already being spent for school lunches, why not make it healthier? We all know kids will flock to things that are bad for them. Is a little adult supervision that bad? If you really don't like it then home-school your kids and you can feed them twinkies and hot-dogs all day long. We atually have that right in a free country.

Cindy, those cafeterias in schools are funded with your STATE TAX MONIES not Federal income tax monies. There is no words in the US Constitution that enables anyone to acquire money via the federal government to fund lunches for kids. That is a state's responsibility not the Federal government.... You need to read up on that part of what is allowed and not allowed in your government before you tell me I will never "make sense." You are the one who does not understand how the Founders wrote the rules for this country and why they put what laws where. Try reading up on that portion of our government before you bad mouth me.

Why? You can send your kids wherever you want! Always have been able to. I sent my kid to a private school for 8 years, then to a public charter school in another city for 5. No-one says you have to go to a local public school. You can home-school as well.

Read the US Constitution, dude! It kind of leaves those things out. What it does not say means you cannot do it. Those types of concerns are left for the individual States to sort out. If Arizona wants to feed all the kids lunch in public schools, that is their prerogative. If Utah votes against feeding kids when the parents should be doing it, that is their prerogative too. But just like Health Care for the masses, school lunches are not authorized by the US Constitution which means the Federal government needs to butt out!
So there..... try reading what our Founders did for us to make us the best freaking country on the planet.... some say they were the smartest people on the planet at the time.... and Tough Shitski to you too!

You are wrong! It's the National School Lunch Program. It's a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.

I don't give a shet who enacted it, it is sucking more and more tax payer money out of the federal treasury and it is not, I repeat, NOT allowed IAW the US Constitution.
BTW, Truman tried pushing his version of federal health care too!
