Probably the 5 best sentences you'll ever read.

This is probably the 5 best sentences you'll ever read. Our educators should make a lesson plan on these statements and beat these words into every head, in every class, in every state, in these United States of America .

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

If you take this to extremes, I agree. But real life isn't like that...

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

Having the rich pay higher taxes does NOT take them 'out of prosperity'

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

Yes. It's called humanitarianism or charity. Foreign words to right wingers.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

It also cannot provide for defense, roads, education, etc...

4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Agreed. No-one wants this except the lazy.

5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Actually, you can. When a business owner spends part of his wealth to hire others, his overall wealth grows.

Once again A, you are quoting right wing extremists who have no clue what is going on the in the real world. Try again.
