Within 100 Years many Islands will Disappear

You don't really have a point here... But also, the ice sitting in a glass is IN the water. The ice in Antarctica that is thawing is on LAND. Remember, Antarctica is a continent.

I agree, I think global warming is a natural phenomena and that all this planet is going through was inevitable. However, I also believe that we're just speeding up the process so it's not like we're totally not to blame for what's going on.

Holy cow, it's not like the water level is going to go up overnight. If the people who live there don't notice the water creeping up and re-locate, well, c'mon! What are they, helpless?!!??

So: Global Warming? Yes
Feel sorry for people who don't adjust? No
Is Humanity responsible and we should do something about it? Yes

When the Ice Age ended, humans moved north as the land was exposed. Because of that, the world as we know it came into being. Humans have succeeded in conquering this planet because we have learned to adapt to our surroundings. There will be another ice age, and those who cannot adapt will die. Those who do not adapt to this particular time in the planet's climate cycle, will not survive either. As George Carlon said back in the 70s, "When Mother Nature gets tired of humans, she'll shake us like a bad case of fleas." We can no more affect what's happening than we could change it by everyone jumping at the same time.

I do think we have a responsibility to be careful with our environment.
