Coding is fun

I've taught myself a little Visual Basic, which is computer coding language for Windows applications. I've made simple programs, like a web browser, a speed calculator (still working on that one), and I'm trying to make a waitress helper.
It's very easy to figure out. If you can think logically and speak, you can probably learn Visual Basic.
This is also helping me for my future. I want to major in computer software development and hopefully work for Apple!

Has anyone else messed around with some code? What have you made?

Sounds like fun, wish I was savvy enough to do that.

I had to do it during my time at ITT. We had to make some simple programs as well. It was not as hard as I thought it would be. The larger the program the harder it gets. Wasn't my cup of tea. Good luck in your work.

Yes it can be fun...until you do it for a living all day everyday (it’s not all that bad). Keep it up and work hard. VB is just the start. There are so many other languages to learn now. If you want to work in this industry, you have to know what you’re doing. There is a lot of stiff, cheap competition over seas writing code for applications we use everyday. Apple? Hmm, I wouldn’t suggest that route. Most of the world’s business front end applications run on Windows not Apple. Most of your mass storage is UNIX, some Linux and even a little bit on Wintel.
