LOL, Sky - I think you can tell by our views, can't you? I don't think the answers will be surprising unless someone is faking it or the person is new to Floort. Democrat, of course (just in case anyone was snoozing when I spoke for gun control, for Obama, against Palin, etc... )

Registered Republican for purpose of voting in primaries. Through and through Free Market Conservative.

1. Constitutional constructionist - The Constitution was written for a purpose and that purpose was to protect the people from an overbearing, interventionist government.

2. Free Market Capitalist - I believe that the more free a market is to operate the more efficiently and effectively it works.

3. Social Libertarian - I believe that people inevitably make decisions based on what they feel is in their own best interest and that they have a natural right to do so. The role of government in promoting the general welfare of a society is to establish and maintain a judiciary by which grievances can be reasonably addressed.
a. Family Values - Although I believe that marriage is a relationship reserved for the union of one man and one woman I also believe that the choice of a life partner is a personal one.
b. Abortion - I believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is the killing of a human being. I also believe that there are circumstances where abortion is not only justifiable but may be the humane option. I don't believe that there is a circumstance where the decision to abort should be taken lightly and I feel that using abortion as a primary tool of birth control is inhuman.
c. Social assistance - I believe that government can and should encourage some minimal level of social assistance to those who are incapable of fending for themselves. I also believe that such services should be organized as a partnership betweeen public and private interests with private interests actually providing the needed services and public interests providing the structure to ensure the viability of the private interests.
d. Social Justice - I do not believe that any class of citizen should be endowed with or restricted from the opportunity to exercise their full potential. I believe that government attempts to "level the playing field" only serve to discourage ambition and to encourage acceptance of lower standards.

4. Immigration - I believe that the security of the nation depends on controlled and constrained immigration policies. I believe that those who choose to flaunt immigration laws should be deported. I believe that proper enforcement of immigration policies and border security will prevent unnecessary deaths of illegal immigrants while providing greater opportunities for those who choose to come here legally.

5. Energy - I believe that energy resources are a commodity and should be treated as any other product exchanged in the free market. Government meddling with energy resources only serves to artificially inflate or deflate the value of these commodities and leads to abuse.

6. Environment - I believe that government should encourage practices which are minimally damaging to the environment. I believe that government should establish and preserve national parks.

7. Taxation - I believe that the government should levy taxes only to fulfill the financial needs necessary to uphold the enumerated powers as noted in the Constitution. I believe that the method of taxation should be that which best encourages development and growth of commerce while discouraging acts of abuse in the free market.

8. Foreign relations - I believe that America must strive for excellence and exceptionalism among the other nations of the world. We should support nations which adhere to principles of individual freedom and we should set an example for those nations beset by despots. We should be conscious and appreciative of the cultural values of other nations but we must, in all dealings, give first consideration to the cultural values of America.

9. War - Our military should have, as its first and foremost priority, the defense of our nation and of our national interests abroad. We must reconcile ourselves to the fact that, on occasion, preemptive military action may be the best method of defense. We should be staunch supporters of our allies throughout the world. We must acknowledge that terrorism is indeed an act of war and we must utilize our resources according to that doctrine.

Liberal leaning independent:
for limited gun control
pacifist leaning, against most war
pro civil union/marriage
reluctantly pro-choice
pro- healthcare for all peoples
pro- compassionate immigration reform
pro-dialogue between different cultures/religions
pro-bank reform and careful, compassionate capitalism.
Willing to admit this is not a "Christian" country. Pro separation of church and state.
Terrified of house on C Street and it's occupants.

Democrat: always will be until time ends.

I used to be a republican though, but it was 2004, everyone was doing it.
