John McCain is just a stooge, he doesn't have a clue and he certainly is no conservative.

Sarah Palin was the best thing that ever came McCain's way. She was the most excitement his campaign has ever seen. He's too stupid to defend her now, that's the least she deserves for bailing his sorry ass out during the election. Ingratitude is right up there with hypocrisy.

McCain is just another career politician. I'm sure that on the whole he's a pretty good guy but his policies on the border and his support of the stimulus, among other things, lead me to believe that he's not cut from the right cloth to fix what's broken.

With regard to the McCain staff and Palin I honestly think that they're doing her a favor when they accuse her of pettiness and naivete. Palin came on the national scene REALLY green but with the correct message and the right tools to be an outstanding national leader. I'd like for her to develop more of a team before she steps back into a full blown national campaign but I'd be all for supporting her.

Agree Luther but my comment is more about a particular aspect of McCain's personality, i.e., ingratitude. There's nothing worse than taking advantage of what someone can do for you and then not returning the favor when they could really use a helping hand. That's just disgusting. Yea, McCain is a typical "politician" and I have disdain for dam near all of them, but there's a special place that I reserve for people who claim to represent my way of looking at things who then treat truly credible people with disrespect. He disgusts me. He should be out front defending her and telling the world why he chose her as his running mate, not contributing to her desecration.

Sarah is the most promising actual conservative out there IMO which is why the entire liberal machine from tigger and orca all the way down to barry and his ilk are doing everything possible to make sure she's been thoroughly destroyed long before the next election. They don't need any help from people describing themselves as Republicans. He's a punk if you ask me.

I guess this McCain character hits a sore spot with me. I went to see him give a talk a few years ago in Lake Havasu, AZ. and I was amazed at the fact that he kept referring to John Kerry as "my friend John Kerry", this at a time when Kerry was stabbing McCain in the back at ever opportunity with an obvious intention to do damage. An Air Force colonel in the audience asked him why he referred to such a political enemy as his "friend" and his answer did nothing for me except render the term "friend" meaningless.

McCain is the worst kind of politician, worse than conservatives and worse than liberals because this guy tries to have it both ways. He wants the high and mighty title of "conservative" while he skulks around behaving like a liberal, cutting the throats of his own cohorts in the Republican party over and over while he sticks his head so far up (you know where) on the likes of Ted Kennedy and every liberal out there that it becomes obvious for anyone paying attention that he's a fraud. Immigration was one example as Luther says. His treatment of Sarah Palin was disgusting but it was only a small illustration of what this guy is all about IMO. Like "A" says, he should just switch and become the democrat that he really is at heart. At least I could respect him for standing behind what he really is.
