The Bible as a Reference Book

I do agree with you on this; God gave us a brain and we need to think. So let see if you are willing to use your brain to think?

Do you know what the word science means? Any system of knowledge that is concerned with the physical world and its phenomena and that entails unbiased observations and systematic experimentation. In general, a science involves a pursuit of knowledge covering general truths or the operations of fundamental laws.

Have you ever seen a baby born without the chromosomes of the father and mother?

My unbiased observation tells me that out of the billions of babies borne through out the centuries everyone had the chromosomes of their father and mother.

The fact is that you can not have a baby apart from those chromosomes. So if this is what I can see with my on eyes, and this is what billions of people seen with their own eyes, then any thinking individual who is willing to use their God’s given brain would come to the conclusion that this is the only way a baby can come into the world.

So the question for reasonable individuals who are willing to use their God’s given brain is this:

If you know without the shadow of a doubt that babies can only come through the chromosomes of a father and a mother (according to scientific facts we need both) than where did the first male and female came from?

For you information: There is a God who loves you, and created everything including Adam and Eve to reproduce according to their kind.

So, you see dogs have little dogs, cats have cats, orange trees brings forth oranges and on and on…as the Bible says it would.

To believe the teachings of evolution on origin you must leave your brains at the door and deny scientific facts.

To believe in a Creator is scientific because we all know that any design must have a designer. Or would you believe that even the simplest designs like your car keys could evolve out of nothing? You surly don’t believe that. So how can you believe that your body where one cell is millions of times more complex than a car key could evolve out of nothing?

Are you willing to use your brain to think? Please let me know.

Prov 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A thousand years or so ago, we had no proof of creationism or evolution. Now, we have proof of some types of evolution. We know that colors, skins, bone structures evolve according to external stimuli. We still have no proof of creationism.

But we also still have no proof of micro-evolution. Isn't it possible to believe in both creationism and evolution?

The fact is that most organized religions cannot know throw out whatever text they have claimed for years and years is the most important. They are stuck with it, so they pick and choose the verses that they can get away with in today's world. If Bible believers were to suddenly come on board with science, they might have to admit that other parts of the Bible were inaccurate as well. And if you know anything about the history of the Bible, you know it's not a word for word historical account. I would question the people who are picking and choosing which verses apply.

Also, if you really do believe in God, then why would you choose to not see scientific and technological advances? You pray to God for answers. Look for them, evidence abounds- Evolution!

Well, the Bible tells us that the earth rotates around the sun. Haven't we learned now that that isn't true and thus, had to re-interpret the Bible? Don't you think that God would know if the earth rotates around the sun or vice versa?

To believe in the possibility of Evolution, one has to believe that sand and chemicals and gas and pressure and temperature all came together in a glob and started forming cells. Then those cells somehow 'evolved' to things like the human brain. Pretty big stretch.

To believe in Creation, one has to believe that a magic man in the sky appeared out of nowhere and went 'poof' and we were all here. Far bigger stretch.

So which is more difficult for the enlightened, educated mind?

the bible only creates a bias to observation. Evolution took hundreds of thousands of years. And we have proof that we are related to chimpanzees. It doesn't take much for the structure of dna to change. Evolution DID happen. Its a species natural defense to continue living.

An Internet posting is the same thing as the bible.. Something that a person wrote down. I guess upbringing and a Christian world allows you to see it differently.

I am both creationist and evolutionist. I belief that God created the pattern of evolution to help creation exist. There is
no denying evolution. We as a
species have changed I've just a few hundred years! Average height has increased since the American revolution. And there is no doubting creation either. Something cannot come from nothing.
