Think about it. We have our weapons: guns, knives, bow and arrow, heck, even clubs. We have our shelters: extremely protective structures. We know how to grow food. We know how to invent things to make our lives better.
If it weren't for glasses, like I need, I'd be dead because of bad eyesight. In general, we are a weak species physically. If we couldn't invent, we would all be eaten by now. =P
