The Stock Market is Crashing
Are you getting out? Are you scared? I don't believe that this current down-turn means anything. It is all based on emotion and oil/housing issues. Don't cash out. The market is strong.

The advice to hang on was given 92 days ago. Was it good advice?

Not a good end to the week and month. However, despite the fundamentals, which have contrived to worsen expectations - credit crunch, stagflation, etc, you can still point to some indices (DJIA in particular) as having maintained its medium-term uptrend: plotting a support trend line back to Q4 2002 there has been just one day - 22nd Jan 2008 - when this trend line was breached and the index closed below. Following yesterday's performance however we are rapidly heading back to retest support and I am concerned that the market may be signalling a lot more pain to come, and that any expectation that we would rapdily recover would prove to be bkth complacent and ill-judged.

I disagree but do agree because the dollar is going back up and stocks are going up pretty good lately.
