I disagree that all religious people are ignorant, however, it is absolutely true that many different people have believed in many gods, prophets and holy people since recorded time.

You're technically correct in saying that "Only Christians follow the 'correct' religious doctrine of the teachings of Jesus Christ." ... because, well, the Jews don't follow the doctrine or teaching of Jesus Christ. Formulating the question? Fail.

The essence of what you're getting at is false: The Jews had one covenant with God which most Christian theologians consider to still be honored. Christians have another, new covenant based upon the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of mankind.

Think of it as a "Golden Parachute" for the world.. realizing that the entirety of creation is, in essence, a screw-up after the whole "Original Sin" thing, and all this business of mucking about with animal sacrifices and not eating a cheeseburger because people over-react because you tell them "don't broil a calf in it's mother's milk, that's just icky"... it's all a wash. Wipe the slate clean, just.. be nice to each other, believe in Jesus and you're saved, and we'll come back in a while and wrap things up. You know, eventually.

So are Christians "Right" ? Heck, they can play their reindeer games any darn way they want to and no one can tell them that their imaginary world is any more right or wrong than anyone else's.

Jesus was Jewish, and by saying that he was the Son of God he was blasphemous against his own religion. Christianity isn't just about follow the "correct" teachings of Jesus, but worshiping him as a he lived his life as well as what he believed.

My human insticts prompt me to call you athiests idiots because salvation is so easy, you have absolutly nothing to lose. But...the believer status shows me that it is useless to name call, not to mention hurtful. I hope there comes a day when athiests can stop calling Christians lunatics and start respecting us as you would also like to be respected.

worldstar, where do I start. The Jews were as faithful in trying to love God as you and I. Jesus was a Jew. All of the Bible is a gift from God. And not all Christians are "right."

worldstar, there is a HUGE gap between the time Jesus "came along" and the time the "correct" (your word, not mine) religious doctrine came along for Christians today. Considering the first point that Jesus never called his followers Christians, I would have to conclude that the Christians who call themselves Christians instead of the name that Jesus calls them, are apostate and [Tada!] ...WRONG!
