Google has too much power

If Google succeeds is buying the last open chunk of airspace, we'll be controlled like never before. They already dictate indirectly how we must run our business on the web. Just try getting listed in the search engines if you don't follow their rules.

Next they'll be into single-sign on IDs, personal information tracking and handling your private financial affairs!

Google is becoming a monopoly like AT&T in the '70s.

google is nice to search for images, but I prefer to use proquest which is provided to me by my school. It is a database of actual documents instead of school reports of second graders.

oh please. Just what exactly has google done to limit whether or not you get listed in the searches? Way to frighten people with no evidence.

I'm sorry, I think that's just stupid. Their plan - if you've read it - is to open source the airspace. Oh. My. God. Google does NOT have too much power. You want a company with too much power? Check out Microsoft. I mean, seriously, do you REALLY know how many divisions there are? They had to avoid an antitrust case a few years ago by breaking up into different sub-corporations so that they wouldn't be called a monopoly. So, when you talk about too much power . . .
