Will Political Correctness stupidity ever end?

Well, someone has to care right?

I believe this question is racist.

I am rather fond of political correctness myself. It encourages people to be self-reflective and sensitive to others. Personally I would rather be a victim of PC-ism, than racism.

Maybe we can care too much about these things... I am a young adult but I really don't feel I was affected in my early years by a nursery rhyme.

Ofcourse we have to be careful about what we tell children, but if you look at the world around us... it isn't the perfect place that you want to show our children it is. There ARE different races of people... there ARE different languages etc etc...

I don't think this question is racist... alot of people try and avoid bringing up such questions to avoid being accused of being not so PC. But, I think we need to be a bit more liberal with our views.

I believe that we have simply taken what we know to be wrong to a much higher level. Now anything that even remotely resembles hate speach or slurs results in controversy. If we keep going on this path we will have to create a universal world language that must be spoken by law. Can you imagine how long it would take to create such a language without offending a single group?

Down with PC. It's terrible. That is all.

I don't think that PC stupidity will ever come to an end, but that's just how it feels right now. I mean, we seem to be stuck in this era of it. It's been over a decade, where, oops, I've offended you! I didn't even know it! I said something that wouldn't have hurt anyone else and now I must make a very PC amends statement to you! How very effing dumb. Period.

Everybody gets offended. And who cares. If you can't get take getting offended every now and then, grow thicker skin because - guess what? - there's ALWAYS going to be something out there to offend you. Always.
