Boycott Britney Spears!

This won't change anything. You can buy her record, you can not buy her record, she is still going to do what she's going to do. Her record deal probably already recouped and back again. It's almost pointless to talk about this, because people are still going to consume her personal life on the TV and in gossip rags, and it's still going to sell more records for her. No matter what I or you or anybody else says. What I don't get is why an artists personal life should be any consumers business in the first place. And if you decide what music you buy and listen to by reading and watching all of this gossip to determine how "clean" an artists "act" is, you obviously aren't listening to the music. So as a non-listener, you could easily switch to another artist with a clean act and bypass the effort of organizing a boycott. The enormity of the mass social disorder in american media, especially in and around Los Angeles is staggering, and this question is an excellent example of the truth.

Britney seems to be living in her own world at this point, and I'm not sure anything that happens out here in the "real" world makes any difference to her at all. The girl needs help, and I just can't believe that her friends and family let it get this out of hand. It's a really sad situation...

The best way to get Britney to clean up her act is for everyone to stop talking about her incessantly and allow her life to have some sort of normalcy. We are equally fueling this tragedy- I am by voicing an opinion here on Floort.
