It seems, ObamaCare will deliver lower-quality care at higher prices...
"Under every plausible analysis, it seems, ObamaCare will deliver lower-quality care at higher prices, increasing the federal debt while reducing Americans' freedom. Why are they so determined to do this to us?" ~~ Wall Street Journal

Because the want control into every aspects of our life. They say its paid for, yeah, on the backs of senior citizens!! And taxing the crap out of those who have good health care already! I say they crap everything and start over with insurance reform, and pricing reform. How many times have you visited the doctor and they can't tell you how much some treatment will cost? they should have their prices laid out so we can compare between doctors... isn't that the capitalist spirit? Being able to choose your own doctor and compare prices should be no brainer!!

Did you know that doctors are not even allowed to discuss their fees amongst each other? That's left over from the Reagan era where it was assumed that doctors would collude to rip us off.
The entire system is definitely messed up and something needs to be done. Republicans completely ignored it for 8 years. Now we are stuck with whatever this administration comes up with.

Yea, because the Republicans paid so much attention to this for the last 8 years right? I guess republicans can only blame themselves for being the party of do nothing then blame everyone else when something is being done.

Oh, I never said the Republicans are any better. True they didn't bother with this.. wasn't in their radars. But what they're suggesting is not any better than doing nothing. So you rather we get taxed on our current health plan and make seniors suffer because their benefits are going to shrink?

Tig, the last administration ignored health care because if was a non-issue. People who wanted it paid for it, people who thought they didn't need it didn't buy it. Simple! That's is the way it should be.

Fine Adamantine. But the rest of the country disagrees with you. It isn't fine and it can't be left alone. Costs are skyrocketing, millions are uninsured and there is no stopping it.

Tig, just because something is 'wrong' doesn't mean the gov should be hired to fix it with your/my dollar. Let the private sector fix it, it is called capitalism - it has been working around here for a couple hundred years... ;>)

Nothing good comes out of it when government touches it.. look at Medicare and you'll know where we're heading with this health care plan of theirs.. ask any service men and women and they'll tell you the VA hospitals and that system sucks ass... they're be the first ones in line against this govt run health care!

Look guys - I'm tired of the whole "omigod this health plan is going to destroy America and I want my own health plan and I want to choose my own doctors" deal. I wonder what people who oppose the health plan would be saying if they were the ones without health insurance and without the means to afford a thousand plus dollars per month to have it. Before you say "that's just because those people don't know how to take care of themselves," get real - it could happen to you. It could happen to anyone. All that needs to happen is a combination of losing your job + becoming sick.

It's not a perfect world. But it's counter productive to penalize ingenuity and ambition. There is no perfect system but this "plan" of theirs will make things worse. Have you read some of the pages. It reads like the tax code, made up by the same idiots. It's a nightmare.

Here is an article I found today:
"The "reform" plan includes the dreaded "public option" that many thought might be dead and buried. The public option would create a government-run insurance plan to "compete" with private insurance. The obvious problem -- at least to those who understand the free market -- is that it would have several negative effects on health care and the economy. Many employers would drop their insurance coverage in favor of the small penalty paid to the federal government in exchange for putting employees on the government dole. Indeed, an estimated 120 million customers would leave private insurers. With fewer people buying private insurance, many insurance companies would increase rates, further restrict coverage, or go out of business altogether, thus creating a vicious death spiral." ~~ Patriot Post
